SAN BRUNO, Calif. — Saint Mary's baseball's Kevin Milam was named the Rawlings West Coast Conference Player of the Week for the week of May 15-21 after hitting three home runs on three consecutive days to help the Gaels sweep Santa Clara and clinch a spot in the WCC Tournament.
Milam hit two grand slams and a walk-off home run on Saturday to power Saint Mary's (37-18, 18-9 WCC). The Gaels' freshman designated hitter slugged .875 with 10 RBIs and seven runs scored while helping SMC go 4-0 on the week. He had hits and RBIs in all four of the Gaels' games – none bigger than his long balls over the weekend.
