Rutgers' Jawuan Harris on playing football and baseball: 'I'm a dual-sport athlete all the way'

PISCATAWAY — Throughout the recruiting process, Rutgers baseball coach Joe Litterio knew Jawuan Harris possessed enough tools to be successful at the collegiate baseball level.

A standout wide receiver on the gridiron who had earned a scholarship to play for the Rutgers football team, Harris was on the list of potential Major League Baseball draft picks last June.

After going undrafted, Harris enrolled at Rutgers, where he spent last fall training for the team, rehabilitating a knee injury that kept him sidelined for eight weeks, and finishing his freshman season on the scout team.
