Penn State offers 3-star Rutgers RB commit Johnathan Lovett after whiteout win

Coming off a win over previously No. 2 ranked Ohio State, Penn State is utilizing the opportunity to add to its 2017 recruiting class, which is currently ranked fourth in the Big Ten.

And one athlete on the program's short list is Johnathan Lovett, a three-star running back committed to Rutgers out of Cherokee (Marlton, N.J.), and whose girlfriend attends the State College-based school.

Monday, Penn State offered Lovett, who was in attendance for James Franklin's first signature victory, Saturday night.

Franklin conversed with Lovett following the whiteout, but waited two days before pulling the trigger on the tender.
