Monday, Rutgers landed its 10th commitment of the 2018 class when Timber Creek (Erial, N.J.) defensive back Deion Jennings committed to head coach Chris Ash.
"I called coach Ash and I told him that I wanted to be a Knight, and he was really excited," Jennings, the 6-1, 195-pounder told NJ.com. "He was so excited. He said he wanted me. Even though I was a late offer guy, he wanted me badly because he knew if I stayed focused and came in, that I could do good things.
"He was just telling me I've got to finish off my senior season, and in the off-season next year, I've got to still be focused and come in with a positive mindset.
