PISCATAWAY — Anyone wanting to know who will start at quarterback for Rutgers this season will likely have to wait until the summer.
For the first time this spring, Rutgers coach Kyle Flood offered a timeline on when he hopes to name a starting quarterback for the 2015 campaign, saying during Thursday's Big Ten coaches teleconference that he doesn't expect the battle between Chris Laviano and Hayden Rettig before the summer.
"Chris Laviano and Hayden Rettig are probably a little bit ahead of Gio (Rescigno) right now,'' Flood said. "I don't think it will be a race that will get settled this spring.
