The inspiration behind why reporters asked Virginia Tech DC Bud Foster about fining players has been uncovered by the Richmond Times-Dispatch, and it does not look good for the Hokies.
RTD’s Mike Barber snapped a photo of a screen outside Virginia Tech’s players’ lounge that “appeared to be a fine structure and named players who had already been assessed fines,” implying that cost-of-attendance dollars were at stake for a multitude of shortcomings and that five players had already been fined:
