PROVIDENCE — The Providence Friars will be going old school to open a new season.

PC announced its non-conference schedule Thursday and will play in six different arenas before the Big East games begin in late-December. Included is a season-opening game at Alumni Hall, the first regular season game in the on-campus gym since the Dunkin’ Donuts Center opened in 1972.

The Friars will host Houston Baptist or Belmont on Nov. 10, the first day college teams are allowed to begin play. The school says it was forced to play on campus due to a scheduling conflict with the Comic-Con exposition at the Dunk that weekend, plus an extremely busy start to the season.
