Kris Monroe, a 6-7 scoring forward from Raleigh, N.C., committed to Providence Thursday night via his Twitter page. Monroe attends St. David’s School and is regarded as one of the top private school prospects in North Carolina. He picked Providence after hearing from North Carolina State, Rhode Island, Charlotte, Old Dominion, Boston College and other schools.
Monroe played for the Team Wall AAU program sponsored by Washington Wizards’ star John Wall.
