PROVIDENCE – After making a hasty college decision back in the fall, Makai Ashton-Langford is apparently set to pick a school now. He wants to be a Friar.

Ashton-Langford, a Worcester native who is a consensus top 50 prospect in the Class of 2017, committed to Ed Cooley on Monday after a weekend visit to Providence College. Ashton-Langford and his parents attended PC’s end of season banquet on Saturday night and met with the coaching staff Sunday. He returned to school in New Hampshire Monday and committed late in the day.
