COLUMBUS, Ohio – Despite tying the game just before halftime, the Portland Timbers suffered their first loss of the season Saturday as they fell 3-2 to Columbus Crew SC at MAPFRE Stadium. Dairon Asprilla scored his first goal of the year while forward Fanendo Adi tied the Timbers career all-time scoring mark with his 4th goal of the year and 45th of his Portland career.

4’ – GOAL. Portland jumped out to an early lead after a bit of sustained Timbers possession. Midfielder Sebastián Blanco cut in from the left side of the field before threading a beautiful pass through the Columbus defense to Asprilla on his right.
