Playing in their first league games since Dec. 5, the Timbers U-16 and U-18 Academy teams returned to action this past weekend, taking on the FC Golden State and the LA Galaxy U-16 and U-18 Academy teams on the road. In their opening match of the weekend, the Timbers U-16 side fell to FC Golden State 1-0 on Saturday, before falling 3-0 to the LA Galaxy U-16s on Sunday. The U-18s opened the weekend in convincing fashion, defeating FC Golden State’s U-18s 4-0 on the road, as four different players scored in the win. Leading the way for the U-18s, Lucas Cini, Wilterlynd Inalien, Jacob Montes and Jose Perez each found the back of the net.
