PORTLAND, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots women's soccer program has added UP alum Miguel Guante as an assistant coach, announced head coach Garrett Smith. Guante, who starred for the men's side from 2002-05, has coached at FC Portland since 2003, and he spent the past five years as the head coach for the Lincoln High School girls varsity team.
"I am very excited to have Miguel officially joining our staff," said Smith. "For many years he's helped us behind the scenes with FC Portland, the involvement in the ECNL, as a summer camp staff coach, a summer league organizer, and as a local high school coach.
