Pilots Show Well at Beaver Classic

Corvallis, Ore.-- The University of Portland men's and women's cross country teams ran at the Beaver Classic Friday afternoon, where the men dominated a first-place finish in the 8K and the women ran mostly unattached runners in the 6K. Alex Dillard finished first individually.

The No. 8 Portland women ran much of their younger squad, consisting mostly of freshmen. Sophomore Aoibhe Richardson, running unattached, finished on top for the Pilots with a time of 23:38.9 earning a third-place finish. Just behind her was freshman Maddy Lyons (24:10.3), sophomore Dylan Hite (24:18.6), and freshman Lacey Conner (24:40.1) with consecutive sixth, seventh, and eighth place finishes.
