PORTLAND, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots volleyball team, under the guidance of the reigning West Coast Conference coach of the year Brent Crouch, will open the 2017 season in Laramie, Wyo., at the Rumble in the Rockies tournament August 25-26. The Pilots face Abilene Christian, South Dakota, and tournament host Wyoming, before returning home to host their first tournament of the season, the North Harbour Marriott Invitational.
Abilene Christian is led by first-year head coach Angela Mooney and closed out last season with a 12-19 overall record, in addition to a third-place finish in the Southland Conference with an 11-5 mark.
