Men’s Tennis Earns Road Win Against San Francisco to Start WCC Play

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The Portland men's tennis team opened West Coast Conference play with a 4-2 win over the San Francisco Dons Friday night. The Pilots improved to 11-1 on the season, while the Dons fell to 4-11 overall.

The match, originally scheduled to be played outdoors in the afternoon, was moved indoors due to inclement weather and played at night.

Portland once again received solid top of the lineup performances from juniors Michail Pervolarakis and Mathieu Garcia to set the tone. Pervolarakis, ranked No. 114 nationally, defeated Mert Zincirli 6-4, 6-4 to improve to 11-1 in dual singles this spring.
