The running back market hasn’t moved much in the past five years and that’s an issue for Le’Veon Bell’s agent

Five years ago, NFL player agent Adisa Bakari negotiated a $32 million, four-year contract for then-Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte just hours before the deadline for franchise players to sign long-term deals. The deal included $18.1 million in guaranteed money.

Five years later, Bakari is in the same position again with Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell, who has until 4 p.m. today to sign a long-term contract with the Steelers.

There hasn’t been a lot of information on Bell’s negotiation put out into the public, but it’s instructive to look at Forte’s deal when it comes to any potential deal for Bell.
