Steelers trail Eagles, 34-3, late in fourth quarter

PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Eagles jumped in front of the Steelers, 3-0, at the end of the first quarter at Lincoln Financial Field this afternoon.

The Steelers started fast but ended poorly on their first drive. A 32-yard pass from Ben Roethlisberger to Eli Rogers got it going but then Markus Wheaton dropped what would have been an 18-yard touchdown pass on third down when the ball bounced off his chest in the back of the end zone. Chris Boswell came on to salvage the drive with a 36-yard field goal attempt but Philadelphia's Bennie Logan blocked it.
