Steelers Cut TE Ladarius Green

Ladarius Green has been released with failed physical designation.

That’s according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, who reported the news on Thursday afternoon. Green will cost the Steelers $6 million that includes his signing bonus and last year’s salary, according to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. He will count $3.56 million against the Steelers’ cap for the 2017 season.

Green signed a four-year, $20 million contract with the club last offseason after four seasons with the Chargers. But Pittsburgh’s prized free agent acquisition was limited to just six games last season after dealing with multiple injuries, finishing with 18 catches for 304 yards and one touchdowns.
