Stats Of The Weird: Steelers Vs Eagles

Stats of the weird. Stats of the sad. Today, they’re all the same.

– Let’s start with the score. 34-3. It’s the Philadelphia Eagles’ biggest margin of victory against the Steelers since 1965; ironically enough, the same year Pittsburgh last won in Philadelphia. When the Steelers hosted Philly that year, they got toasted 47-13.

In history, dating back since both teams came into the league in 1933, it’s tied for the third worst loss to the Eagles. Only that 1965 game and the all-time worst, a 45-3 loss in 1945, surpass it. The Steelers also lost 38-7 in 1949.
