Source says receiver's inactivity discipline from Tomlin

Steelers receiver Eli Rogers did not play against the New England Patriots because he was being disciplined by Coach Mike Tomlin for an unspecified reason, according to a team source.

Rogers practiced with the team the week leading up to the game and was in uniform against the Patriots, but did not play even though the Steelers were already thin at the receiver position because of injuries to Markus Wheaton (shoulder) and Sammie Coates (hand). Even when Antonio Brown was injured late in the game, Rogers remained on the sidelines.

This is not the first time Tomlin has punished a player by not electing to play him.
