Shazier in, Gilbert and Williams out for Patriots game

The Steelers will welcome back inside linebacker Ryan Shazier to the starting lineup Sunday against the Patriots, but they’ll be without several offensive players that were ruled out today.

Right tackle Marcus Gilbert, who did not practice all week, will miss his third consecutive game. Receiver Markus Wheaton will miss his fourth game of the season with a shoulder injury and running back DeAngelo Williams will miss his first game of the season with knee inflammation.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and defensive end Cam Heyward had previously been ruled out for the game by coach Mike Tomlin. Also ruled out are reserve offensive lineman Cody Wallace and reserve safety Shamarko Thomas.
