Colbert: Players signed in free agency won't impact what Steelers do in draft

PHOENIX – General manager Kevin Colbert said none of the four players the Steelers signed in free agency will impact what the team does in the April draft.

The Steelers signed several outside free agents in areas of need, including cornerback Coty Sensabaugh and wide receiver Justin Hunter, but that won’t stop them from addressing those positions in the draft, even in the early rounds.

“It's wide open at this point," Colbert said today on the first day of the NFL owners meetings at the Arizona Biltmore resort. “Everything we did in free agency will not alter our draft plans at all.
