Following him being waived injured Tuesday by the Pittsburgh Steelers, wide receiver L’Damian Washington, has reverted back to the teams injured reserve list after going unclaimed.
Washington, who originally signed a futures contract with the Steelers this past January, was waived Monday so that the team could claim wide receiver Devin Gardner off waivers from the New England Patriots.
Washington likely injured himself during the team’s rookie minicamp that took place a few weekends ago. His stay on the Steelers injured reserve list will likely depend on the nature of the injury that he suffered and sometimes players are given injury settlements in instances such as this one.
