Now that the league owners have voted to move back kicking extra point attempts 13 yards starting this upcoming season, several are wondering if we might see a slight increase in two-point tries as a result. While that’s yet to be seen, you might be interested to know that the Pittsburgh Steelers are the best in the NFL in two-point conversions dating back to 2001.
As Louis Riddick of ESPN pointed out Thursday, the Steelers have converted 16-of-22 two-point conversion tries since 2001, which equates to a 72.7 percent success rate. The Steelers, however, just barely edged out the Chicago Bears, who according to my research, converted 21-of-29 two-point conversion tries since 2001.
