Pirates put up 8-run frame vs. Marlins

Marlins starter Adam Conley threw 41 pitches in the inning before reliever Jose Urena needed another 15 to end it.

Pirates catcher Francisco Cervelli, who was 1-for-10 in his last three games, collected two hits in the inning and scored two runs. He cleared the bases with a three-run triple that got past Marlins left fielder Marcell Ozuna.

The Pirates even had a call overturned that resulted in a safe call at first base on a Gift Ngoepe infield chopper.

In all, the Pirates sent 14 men to the plate, tallied eight times on six hits, three walks and a hit batsman.
