CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Drew Hutchison, Tyler Glasnow, Steven Brault and Trevor Williams have been competing all spring for the final spot in the Pirates' Opening Day rotation. They may also be auditioning for a job in the bullpen.
The Pirates' rotation depth may allow them to put a spare starter in the bullpen on Opening Day. One of those four could begin the season in the rotation while another breaks camp in the bullpen.
"There are some other options to provide us with some depth," general manager Huntington said.
