For the first time since his most recent trip to the disabled list, John Holdzkom is throwing off the mound. Holdzkom tossed a side bullpen session this afternoon before the Indianapolis Indians game at Victory Field.
The 2015 season has been pretty much a loss for Holdzkom after a great deal of excitement following a strong showing at the end of 2014. He has been dealing with shoulder injuries all season, earning numerous DL stints.
"[The session] felt ok," Holdzkom said. "Hopefully it feels as good tomorrow."
Before his first trip to the DL, Holdzkom struggled immensely to throw strikes and did not get the same movement on his pitches as he saw in 2014.
