Pirates Blown Out in Series Opener Against the Reds

The Pirates, fresh off of a two game sweep of the twins and the excitement of acquiring Joakim Soria from the Tigers, came out flat against the Reds in Cinci, and dropped the game 15-5. A.J. Burnett once again did not look good in the start. In fact for the first three or four innings of the game, Burnett's velocity was down significantly on his fast ball, and he didn't throw any of his diving curve balls that he is known for. It clearly appeared that he was laboring through something, but it definitely cost him.
