Pittsburgh’s program was in disarray when Paul Chryst was named coach before the 2012 season. Over the next three years, he built a solid foundation.

So when Pat Narduzzi took over the program after the 2014 season, he was working with a solid roster. The Panthers had several dynamic skill players on offense, and Chryst beefed up the offensive line.

It helped Narduzzi turn Pittsburgh from a 6-6 program into one that contended for a Coastal Division championship in his first season. With another recruiting class under his belt, Narduzzi’s second, the roster continues to round into one that could land the Panthers their first true conference championship since 2004.
