Suns can't close deal in loss to Rockets

The template has been new. The path has been more inspiring. But the results have remained the same.

Much like Tuesday night’s losing effort to Toronto, the Suns gave another quality visitor more of a scare than the fourth-worst team in the NBA ought to be able to do. But the point-guard-less Suns’ continuing turnover problems helped Houston too often in a Rockets’ 111-105 victory Thursday night at Talking Stick Resort Arena.

In the second game under interim head coach Earl Watson, the Suns held a fourth-quarter lead much like they had in Jeff Hornacek’s final game Sunday at Dallas.
