This season, Brandon Knight has an opportunity to add to a rich Suns tradition and write his name in the NBA history books.
Aaron Lynch of Fox Sports predicted Brandon Knight to be the NBA’s 6th Man of the Year in 2016-17. “Suns coach Earl Watson is talking up Knight as a 6MOY candidate after making it clear the point guard will come off the bench this year,” Lynch wrote. “And I'm buying the hype.”
After averaging a career high in points last season, Knight will have the chance to join Eddie Johnson (1988-89), Danny Manning (1997-98), Rodney Rodgers (1999-00) and Leandro Barbosa (2006-07) as the fifth Sun to win the 6th Man of the Year award.
