Goalie Louis Domingue is scheduled to start against the Canadiens with No.1 Mike Smith sent back to Arizona to consult with team doctors on his lower-body injury.
“They’ll continue to evaluate where he’s at,” coach Dave Tippett said. “He was in good spirits this morning. We’ll just see where it goes the next few days.”
Domingue is 2-0 against the Canadiens in his career.
“We know that Louis can do the job,” Tippett said.
