Sporting Kansas City sign former Philadelphia Union youth Colton Storm

Another former Philadelphia Union youth drafted last month has signed on with a club in Major League Soccer.

Defender Colton Storm, of Mechanicsburg, was drafted by Sporting Kansas City with the 14th overall pick out of the University of North Carolina. He’s appeared in two preseason matches with the club in Arizona, logging 75 minutes.

“I am very excited to sign my first professional contract with Sporting KC," Storm said in a news release. "Since the moment I got here, the players and staff have welcomed me with open arms. I look forward to continuing my progression as a player with the club and playing in front of the great fans at Children's Mercy Park.
