Blake seals the victory
Union goalkeeper Andre Blake carried the team with his back to back highlight reel saves late in the match. He stopped Lamar Neagle twice, once on a penalty kick and another in stoppage time. Blake's performance tonight gave the team the confidence boost they needed, and in the win, Blake notched his sixth shutout of the season, tying his career high. Head Coach Jim Curtin said the team's victory was possible because Blake continues to step up for the team and defend the net.
“At the end of the game, no excuse for having three guys free in the box, but Andre bailed us out," Curtin said.
