Philadelphia Union trades up to #25, selects Marcus Epps

In one of the most MLS things to ever MLS, the Philadelphia Union called a timeout during the SuperDraft, traded picks with Minnesota United FC, and selected University of South Florida midfielder Marcus Epps. Confused? It’s cool - we are too.

The Union were able to call a timeout during Minnesota’s pick in the second round, during which they swapped out the 42nd pick and $50,000 of Allocation Money in 2018 for the 25th pick. They then used that pick on Epps.

Epps, who turns 22 next week, played four seasons at the University of South Florida, scoring eight goals and collecting nine assists in 75 career matches.
