McCarthy made five saves on the day and played well once again in the start. In the 6th minute, McCarthy stopped a volley for Ola Kamara for his first save in the game. In the 68th minute, Columbus had a free kick, in which McCarthy made the save and immediately made a second, pushing the ball up and over the net for a corner kick for Crew SC.
