Highlights from the Philadelphia Union Community and Foundation in 2016

Serving the community is a core part of the Philadelphia Union organization. Check out some of our highlights from this year:

Fare & Square Check Presentation

The Philadelphia Union Foundation presented a $25,000 check to Fare & Square Market on January 7th. The grocery store, operated by Philabundance, is the first full-scale non-profit supermarket in America and is the only supermarket in Chester. The donation allowed the store to purchase nine new freezers, which are used to store frozen seafood and hilal, and a deli section.

Big Brothers Big Sisters

The Philadelphia Union Foundation partnered with the Delaware County chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters to create “Beyond School Walls,” which connected 19 members of the Union front office with 7th graders from Toby Farms Middle School.
