If this was a year ago, I’d say something like “Thank goodness the Rockies are coming to town, they suck so maybe the Phillies can catch a break.” Liz From A Year Ago clearly doesn’t know what’s happening now, which is the Rockies sitting atop the NL West with the second-best record in baseball. So the “catch a break” train has probably sailed. Or left the station. You know what I mean.
It’s not a secret that the Phillies need to catch a break. They need a win on the back of good hitting and competent pitching. A complete win where nothing was a mistake or an accident.
