Phillies News: Phillies postpone home opener to Tuesday due to "soaking" forecast

Phillies news fans who have been dying to see their Philadelphia Phillies start their home schedule at Citizens Bank Park are going to have to wait one more day than originally expected.

According to Yahoo Sports, the Philadelphia Phillies have postponed their home opener against the Milwaukee Brewers due to intervention by the weather --

The game has been postponed until Tuesday at 4:05pm EST, giving the Philadelphia Phillies an extra day of rest after making stops in Arlington and Chicago to start the season.

Fans got about 24 hours of notice in order to alter their plans for the home opener's new start date, which is a lot more than has been given in parks such as the Oakland Coliseum over the past week.

Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Kyle Kendrick will take the ball for the Phils in the opener against another Kyle, rightie Kyle Lohse of the Brewers.
