After a lot of speculation, today is the day. All 8 teams that will be playing in the World Cup of hockey this fall will finalize their rosters.
For Philadelphia Flyers fans, all eyes are Shayne Gostisbehere and Claude Giroux. Gostisbehere will be in the mix for “Team North America”, which is comprised of players from the United States and Canada who are under-23 years old. Giroux will be looking for a spot on Team Canada. Every team has already named 16 players to their rosters, but are now filling out the final 7 spots.
Five Flyers have already been named to teams in the preliminary selections.
