Flyers see increased season-ticket sales

NEWARK, N.J. - Bolstered by a strong finish that produced a playoff spot last spring, the Flyers have sold nearly 18,000 season tickets per game, an increase of about 1,700 for each game, according to Shawn Tilger, the team's chief operating officer of business operations.

"Our renewal rate was 95 percent, which was among the highest in the league, and we are second in the league in new season-ticket sales," Tilger said.

The increase, Tilger said, can also be attributed to the fans' interest in attending many of the pregame events planned to celebrate the franchise's 50th anniversary.
