Eagles sign Jaylen Watkins away from Bills, place Nolan Carroll on injured reserve

The Philadelphia Eagles signed Jaylen Watkins away from the Buffalo Bills' practice squad on Friday afternoon. In a corresponding move, the team placed veteran cornerback Nolan Carroll on the season-ending injured reserve list.

Watkins was originally selected by the Eagles in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He didn't play much as a rookie and then the Eagles waived him in final cuts prior to this season. Shortly after the Eagles cut Watkins, the Bills signed him to their practice squad. Watkins is now once again separated from half-brother Sammy Watkins.
