Eagles set to hire new personnel head

The Eagles will interview Bears director of college scouting Joe Douglas for their personnel-head opening, NFL sources said.

The interview is believed to be a mere formality, and barring an unforeseen change, Douglas will be offered the post. Douglas, in essence, would head the Eagles' scouting department and report to Eagles executive vice president of football operations Howie Roseman.

Douglas has been with the Bears for just one year. He was hired away from the Ravens, for whom he was a national scout, last offseason. He worked in Baltimore for 15 years under Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome.
