Eagles LT Jason Peters out vs. Buffalo, Lane Johnson to move from right to left tackle

Related Topics: Lane Johnson, Jason Peters

Jason Peters is not with the team for Thursday’s preseason game against the Buffalo Bills for personal reasons, so Lane Johnson will start at left tackle in Peters’ place.

Peters was excused from the team on Tuesday.

With Johnson at left tackle, Matt Tobin will start at right tackle. That would ordinarily have been Halapoulivaati Vaitai, but he’s been sidelined all week with a knee injury. Tobin is the third-string right tackle.

Johnson has two career starts at left tackle, but he’s viewed as Peters’ eventual replacement at the position.

More to come on the other absences.
