Eagles' Jason Peters to return at current salary

The Eagles are expected to bring back Jason Peters at his current salary, according to an NFL source. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network was first with the report.

Peters had been approached early in the offseason about restructuring his contract, according to ESPN, but the Eagles' plan, as of now, is to retain the left tackle at his 2017 base salary of $10.45 million.

Peters' cap number is $11.7 million -- the highest among the Eagles -- but it is also projected to be tied for fifth among NFL left tackles, which is in line with his production.
