Sixers' Noel late scratch for Bucks game

MILWAUKEE – Just after the team finished its pregame individual workouts, the Sixers decided that center Nerlens Noel would not play in this afternoon’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks because of a left ankle sprain.

For the past eight games, Noel has been the primary backup to starter Joel Embiid and has played very well in that position. His injury, along with T.J. McConnell's being out with a sprained wrist and Richaun Holmes still on assignment with the Delaware 87ers, left the Sixers with just 10 players against Milwaukee.

There is no word yet on how the injury occurred or how long Noel might be out of action.
