NBA Rumor Central: Sixers likely to showcase Jahlil Okafor

Prior to Saturday's game in Washington against the Wizards, Philadelphia 76ers center Jahlil Okafor had received four DNP-CD's from Brett Brown in the team's previous five games. Well, with Joel Embiid resting against the Wizards, Okafor started and played 35 minutes. In that extended time, he posted 26 points, nine rebounds and one block.

There is a good chance Okafor will receive more time in the coming games as a way to "showcase" him to the other 29 NBA teams, speculates Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Pompey writes: "Yep, the Sixers (12-26) were in an obvious, all-out showcase mode in a loss that snapped their three-game winning streak.
