Sources: 76ers decline qualifying offer for Glenn Robinson III (Yahoo Sports)

The Philadelphia 76ers declined to offer guard Glenn Robinson III a qualifying offer, allowing him to become an unrestricted free agent, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

The Sixers aren’t inclined to keep players on one-year deals, but have shown an inclination to revisit a longer-term deal for Robinson this summer, league sources said. Robinson, 21, had significant interest after Minnesota placed him on waivers in March and has appeal to several teams in the mode of developing young players.

Robinson played 35 games in his rookie season, averaging 2.1 points per game. Robinson left the University of Michigan after his sophomore season, and was drafted with the 40th overall pick by Minnesota last year.
