Penn State softball names Christina Diaz as first director of operations

Penn State state softball is hiring Christina Diaz as the program's first director of operations, per a GoPSUSports.com release.

Diaz, a former volleyball player at the University of Florida, will account for many of the off-the-field tasks associated with running the program, such as its budget, schedule and community service outings.

"I would like to thank the Penn State administration for their commitment to creating an environment that is optimal for success with the hiring of our first director of operations," coach Amanda Lehotak said.

Diaz has been employed at Penn State since 2014 as a research and evaluation associate while also acting as the head volleyball coach at Bellefonte Area School District.
