Penn State men's hockey dominates Spartans despite being shorthanded, ties program win record

There were quite a few special circumstances for Penn State before and during Friday’s game.

With Dylan Richard and Curtis Loik still on the shelf with injuries, the Nittany Lions played with 11 forwards, rather than the usual 12, for the third straight game.

Lions coach Guy Gadowsky was seen sporting glasses for the first time all season.

And in the third period with the game in the bag for the Lions, goaltender Eamon McAdam — who saw 0:00 of ice time on Friday — was called for unsportsmanlike conduct after getting into a shoving match with a Spartan during a scrum in front of the Lions’ bench.
